Warm Up Your Patio with a Patio Heater
The night air is chilly, but you really want to sit out under the stars and have a relaxing drink of wine while chatting with your company. What could be more useful in this situation than your very own patio heater? Patio heaters are a “must have” for patio enthusiasts who thrive on enjoying their outdoor parties and outside social gatherings.
Patio Heaters
A patio heater will allow you to take advantage of being outdoors for a longer time during the early fall and late springtime seasons. Most patio heaters can generate a fifteen to twenty inch area of warm air around them, and can raise the current outdoor temperature by ten to twenty degrees. This will keep you nice and toasty! Most patio heaters also have adjustable temperature settings that will enable you to control the heat amounts given out. This way, you can completely enjoy your nighttime party or your early morning tea.
Patio Heating
If you are hesitant about using patio heating equipment, rest assured that it is safe and easy to use. Many patio heaters have safety switches that immediately shut off the patio heater if it tilts in any way. Others have sealed burners, flame controls, electronic ignitions and emergency cut-off valves. Some patio heaters are electric, but the majority of modern patio heaters operate using propane grill cylinders, kerosene, butane or natural gas. This means that they don’t use up any electricity whatsoever. One thing to consider when you are thinking about getting an electric patio heater is the cord as well as a possible extension cord. Ask yourself if it worth the hassle of dealing with a bunch of cords. You certainly wouldn’t want to cause yourself to trip and fall!
Here are some tips to consider when you are shopping for the perfect patio heater for your area:
- First, decide whether or not you want the patio heating to be permanent. Do you want a patio heater that will have to be installed into the ground, or a moveable one?
- Make sure that you look for patio heaters in stores that sell home supplies. These types of stores include places like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, K-Mart, and Target. Such stores will have the largest selection for you to choose from.
- Make sure you get a patio heater that provides the most heat for your money. Keep in mind that although some patio heaters are very large, their size doesn’t necessarily mean that they give off the most heat. Some small patio heaters can generate much more heat than large ones!
Make sure the patio heating you choose is industry approved for safety. - See that the patio heater you choose has aluminum reflectors to direct the heat in a downward and outward direction.
- Pick a style of patio heater that will go best with the décor of your patio. For example, stainless steel patio heaters will look very modern with your black patio furniture!
The possibilities are endless!
